Gorgeous white husky Lightning in danger@Staten Island kill shelter in Staten Island, New York

Lightning was first adopted from ACC earlier this year and was found stray in June. He was a friendly and easygoing. He was adopted shortly thereafter but surrendered again after an alleged biting incident. The circumstances are unknown but he never showed any signs of aggression prior to his most recent return. He has been understandably nervous but shown no signs of aggression while at the shelter.

This dog is located at the Staten Island Animal Care&Control (3139 Veterans Rd West, Staten Island 10309). For more information on a particular dog, email adoption(at)nycacc.org (replace the (at) with @) but ONLY email if you are serious about adopting, and ONLY if you are able to GO TO the shelter in-person. Please do not email for status updates... the only thing you will accomplish is spamming their in boxes and causing REAL adopter emails to go un-noticed. Contact the NYC ACC at (212) 788-4000 for further automated instructions. Also, have the ID# listed at the top of this post handy when inquiring!! This dog is in danger of being on the euthanasia list and could be scheduled to be killed at any time! If you cannot adopt foster ! Fostering is free and does not have to be pernament it can be short term but will save a life ..contact a rescue group from the link above for more info about fostering
From The ACC site: To help ensure successful adoptions, please fill out a pre-adoption application (http://www.nycacc.org/pdfs/adoptions/AdoptionApplication.pdf) and bring it with you when you come into the Care Center to adopt a pet. If you are coming from outside of the immediately area, it is strongly suggest that you first complete an application and email it to adoption @ nycacc.org -This will allow ACC to answer any questions and resolve any potential obstacles before you make the trip.
