VOLUNTEERS SAY: She's a soft walker on the leash, and she got along with the other dogs. A very sweet girl confused after being dumped...She is a lady she takes treats nicely and warms up a little to you .She is quiet almost regal. Nayla was always looking for her owners on her walks. GREAT BEHAVIOR EXAM!!! NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Nayla walks nicely on the leash during her relief walk, a bit tense and fearful, but eventually warming up and leaning into the assessor to solicit attention. Nayla remains tense during the handling items of her assessment, closing her mouth and becoming stiff with short lip during the squeeze and flank items. She engages with the food during the food guarding item, and can be pushed out of the bowl with a bit of pressure. She shows minimal interest in toy and rawhide. She approaches the helper dog with soft body language. Due to her anxiety with new people and her mild discomfort with handling, we recommend that she go home with an adopter who is experienced with fearful dogs.
